Newton's cradle

Newton's cradle, or Newton's pendulum, is a device that demonstrates the principles of momentum and energy conservation. It consists of a series of metal balls suspended in a row. When one ball is lifted and released, it strikes the others, transferring its energy through the row and causing the ball on the opposite end to swing out. This simple but visually striking device illustrates how motion and energy are transferred between objects.
